My daughter loves the animated television series “Space Racers” and watches it over and over again, so I decided to crochet one of the main characters for her. It’s the first pattern I made myself, and though there is room for improvement, I am pleased with it. And my daughter loves little Eagle 🙂
I decided to make him the way he looks on the ground, and make a detachable space visor. Unfortunately I think it makes him look more like a farmer woman than a space racer, so most of the time he doesn’t wear it.
I started with his head, going in rounds, but switched to rows when making his body. This way I was able to create the lines and colour changes. When changing colours I first made a row with SS and the next row with BLO stitches. This way the lines looks quite straight.
For his rear rocket I switched to rounds again.
